Italy-Uruguay Team News:

Uruguay must be feeling much more confident having got a massive win against England, but they do have some injury porblems with Diego Lugano is still big doubt for the Italy game but we might see unchanged side against italy which took the field in England game.

Italians on the other hand struggled terribly against Costa Rica in a match which they lost 1-0 when they conceded a goal to Bryan Ruiz back post header. Italy midfield looked pretty lack luster and Piro and co has to come good in this game or they will be going hom alongside England. We might see Leonardo Bonucci getting into the starting lineup who is more of a attacking defender, While Antonio Cassano looked shadow of a player he once was against Costa Rica and he might not start the game either.

Possible Starting Lineups of Italy & Uruguay.

I can see Italy going into the match with a 3-5-2 formation, Chiellini, Banucci and Barzagli playing as CD’s while Immobile and Balotelli to start upfront.

Match Predictions:

Now this is a interesting game, a game made for Italian team. They must get atleast a draw to get through to the next round which means they will sitback and try to catch Uruguay on counter attacks. Though with Suarez in such bullish form and also almost full match under his belt after returning from injury he is only going to get better. Italians will have to defend well against Cavani and Suarez partnership which looked lethal against England.

I am going with the 2010 World Cup semifinalists to get a win agianst Italy and I can see Suarez scoring and creating havoc for relatively slow italian defence. So its 2-1 for Uruguay as far as I am concerned, what you think of this game ? Can italy stop Suarez and Co ?
