An Australian football match was interrupted for 32 minutes… not because of rain or any other typical reason, but due to a kangaroo. Yes, you read that right!

According to The Sun, a marsupial hopped on to the field during a women’s game between Capital Football Club’s clash with Belconnen United over the weekend.

As can be seen in the video below, the kangaroo seemed to be enjoying hopping around the field seconds before half-time as he also ate some grass at one of the corners.

After a lot of struggle, the marsupial was enticed off the field by trying to play some football with it (he, however, didn’t have an impressive game, barring the speed).

Amber Harvey, a Capital FC official, termed the incident a ‘real menace’.

“It was just a real menace,” he was quoted as saying. “A few people came close to see if they could maybe get it to move on. It stood pretty tall.

“I think it was just over 6ft, so they backed off pretty quickly. But I don’t think anyone was alarmed too much by it.”
