Yusuf Pathan has become the first Indian male cricketer to sign for a foreign T20 league after the all-rounder signed up to play for Kowloon Cantons in Hong Kong T20 League. The tournament is scheduled to be held from March 8-12.

ESPNcricinfo reports that Pathan acquired green signal from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Baroda Cricket Association to participate in the league, which also comprises the likes of Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi and England speedster Tymal Mills.

Having proven his mettle for Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the India Premier League (IPL), the 34-year-old Pathan is considered to be a specialist in the shortest format of the game.

And why not, the Baroda lad holds the record for the fastest IPL fifty (15 balls). Besides, he also has a 37-ball century to his name, which was a record back then.
