Why Shikhar Dhawan is being trolled for sharing picture with Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara

Shikhar Dhawan is having some rough time both on and off the field, one may say.

The Indian batsman, who is currently in the UK for the five-Test series against England, failed miserably in the only warm-up match against Essex over the weekend. He was dismissed for zero in both innings as he got to play just four balls during the three-day game.

After the two teams played out a draw, Dhawan took to Twitter to share a picture of himself alongside his teammates Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara – all standing in the slip cordon.

And, he’s not the one to come up with dreary captions. Channeling his inner rhyming skills, the 32-year-old wrote: “Kaise na ho gujara.. jab saath ho Kohli aur Pujara!”

His sense of humour didn’t impress his fans though as they trolled him for lacklustre performance; that too in his own style.

“Run Banao Is Baar Sabse Jyada,,, Nahi toh Team me na Dikhna Aapne Dubara,” one comment read.

“Karo pooja ya karo hawan.. bas run banao shikhar dhawan,” another one read.

“Kese bnogy hero jab run bnaogy zero,” and “Kab tak loge Unka sahara Thora score khud bhi krle yaara,” were some of the other comments.

The first Test will begin on August 1.
