Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Preity Zinta appeared ecstatic after her team’s 14-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in a dramatic Indian Premier League (IPL) contest on Monday night.

And the Bollywood actress had every reason to be happy as KXIP escaped the jaws of defeat to post their second win in three games at the ongoing 12th edition of IPL.

At 144-3 in 16.3 overs, DC looked well on course to chase down the 167-run target. What happened next was perhaps unimaginable: KXIP fast bowlers Sam Curran and Mohammed Shami ran a riot as the visitors lost 7 wickets for 8 runs.

Curran, who also picked up a hat-trick in the process, was adjudged the Man of the Match.

No wonder, the English all-rounder was embraced by Preity after their victory. The duo also showed off their bhangra moves, as can be seen in the video below.

I tried to put a performance for my team. Luckily enough, we scraped to 166, all the six bowlers were excellent,” Curran, KXIP’s costliest buy this season, later said.

Talking about taking the wickets of Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane off successive balls, Curran said: “I didn’t really know [about the hat-trick]. The crowd got really loud, I couldn’t hear myself. Shami got two amazing overs in the end which helped.”
