Chris Gayle knows how to have some fun irrespective of the situation.

Representing Jozi Stars in the Mzansi Super League game against Paarl Rocks, the West Indies superstar was having a forgetful day in the office, having been dismissed for one in his team’s total of 129-3 in 20 overs.

Gayle, however, got a shot at redemption after captain Temba Bavuma handed him the ball in the first over itself. And he didn’t disappoint, completely squaring up Rocks’ opener Henry David with a pitch-perfect off-spinner.

The big man appealed to the umpire, but to no avail. He, however, lightened up the mood by mimicking how a crybaby would plead, much to the amusement of the umpire.

“I thought this was going to hit the middle stump. Impact seems to be on line. That’s out. That is why Gayle is crying like a baby,” one person opined on Twitter.

“He is a Superstar when it comes to entertainment,” another one added.

That was the only over Gayle got to bowl as Rocks went on to chase down the target with 23 balls and four wickets to spare, thanks to knocks from James Vince (43), Dwaine Pretorious (37) and Mangaliso Mosehle (31).
