Tri-Series: MS Dhoni Declares Jadeja, Ishant ‘Fit’ for Australia ODI; Rohit Ruled Out

There is something to cheer for the Indian cricket fans as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and experienced fast-bowler Ishant Sharma have recovered from their respective injuries, and are available for the rest of the ongoing triangular series Down Under.

According to Indian skipper MS Dhoni, both Jadeja (ankle) and Ishant (shoulder) have shrugged off injury threats ahead of the World Cup 2015 as the duo are likely to feature in India’s playing XI against Australia on Monday.

However, opener Rohit Sharma – who impressed many with his gutsy 138-run knock in the series opener against the hosts – will continue to sit out of the upcoming encounter due to a sore hamstring that even compelled him to miss India’s last clash against England.

This series is well thought-out as a good way to prepare ahead of the prestigious World Cup, which is scheduled to run across February-March in Australia and New Zealand.
