South Africa scored 382 runs at Port Elizabeth

Team Australia and South Africa currently in the Test schedule where the Test series are executed at South Africa. So, as local team South Africa started the Test series but at the inaugural Test, Australia won against Proteas by 118 runs at Durban and so, the guest team is currently leading the tournament. The Test competition consists of four matches and to avoid defeat, any of them should win at least two matches. In that case, Australia is still ahead. Now, the second Test is going on which is started in 9th March, 2018. In the match, South Africa scored 382 runs at Port Elizabeth in their first innings.

However, Earlier, Australia bat for the 1st innings and scored 243 runs in the first day. Later, Proteas came to bat for the first innings and than Australia the local team did well and did able to take some lead. Now, according to the latest news Australia is in bat for the second innings at Port Elizabeth.

Basically Australia is much better team in Test competition than South Africa in recent time being but at the home venue, Proteas would be more dangerous than ever before. But the confidence level of Australian team is great and recently won Ashes series in the new year and also won the Trans Tasman Tri Series against New Zealand and England. So, undoubtedly, they are in great form.

At Port Elizabeth in 9th March, 2018 the  2nd Test between Australia and New Zealand has started. In the match, Australia won the toss earlier and decided to bat first. Basically in the first Test, Australia took the same decision and as a result they won the match. So, Aussie skipper Steve Smith thought about to bat in the 2nd Test as well.

But in the first innings team Australia faced their batting disaster where they all out in 243 runs. They did not even play complete first day but played total 71.3 overs.

Later, home team South Africa came to bat for the first innings. Openers did not make a good start but Elgar played well and scored 57 runs for the team. Rabada who bowled well earlier but in bat, he scored only 29 runs so far. Ab De Villiers and Amla played well where AB De Villiers remain undefeated with his 126 runs innings. Amla scored 56 runs. At last two players Philander and Maharaj tried to stand for a while and scored 36 and 30 runs respectively. But there were no players who could make a stand with Villers in the match. So, by playing 118.4 overs they getting all out scoring 382 runs so far.
