South Africa lost 5th ODI against India

Earlier, team India secured the ODI series against South Africa but through the last match, India won the series though there is still one match left. South Africa lost 5th ODI against India yesterday. It was pathetic that team South Africa faced a series defeat at their home ground.

South Africa lost 5th ODI against India

Team India is current travelling South AFrica though most of the times India used to play at their home venue India. But now considering the international schedule, they are visiting South Africa where they have played a Test series against proteas already. In three matches Test series India won only once and lost twice times. So, they already faced a series defeat against the Proteas and now it seems that took the proper revenge against the local team. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, team India is very dangerous where Virat used to lead the team from the front. In most of the match, he played well. By playing five ODIs against South Africa in recent time, Virat Kohli already achieved two centuries there. He is compared with indian little master Sachin Tendulkar now and he can cross the record of Sachin considering century.

The ODI series between Men in Blue and Proteas consists of six matches where five matches already been gone. India won the first three matches consecutively and secured the series. 4th match was won by South Africa and started their hope to draw the series. But in the 5th ODI, their hope was gone completely. They already lost the series where India leads the series by 4 – 1. Now, there is one match in hand which will bring no change to the series result.

In 13th February, 2018 the 5th match between this two super power team was staged and St. George’s Park, Port Elizabeth was the host ground of the match. Usually it was a day/ night competition where South Africa won the toss and ket the Men in Blues to bat first. So, came to bat India played fifty overs and scored 274 runs. They lost seven wickets in the meantime. India has so many batsmen in the squad and at least one could make longer innings. In the match, Rohit Sharma played well and made 115 runs in 126 balls. Due to his brilliant century, India did able to make a good score. Lungi Ngidi took four wickets for Proteas.

Later, Proteas failed to chase the score and lost their all wickets all in a sudden. They scored 201 runs in 42.2 overs and lost all wickets. Hashim Amla scored 71 runs for Proteas and Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for India team.
