Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of those few sporting stars, who are seldom seen expressing their sentiments. Be a glorious triumph, or a low moment on-field, the sturdy batsman has always kept his revels minimal.

However, quoted by a book Cricket Fanatic’s Essential Guide (by Vimal Kumar) ahead of the World Cup 2015 that begins from the second week of February, MS Dhoni said that he shed tears with the rest of his teammates, after pulling off the World Cup 2011 crown at home.

“In the dressing room, everyone was crying. And everybody means everybody — all the 15 players, the support staff and everyone else associated with the team,” Dhoni was quoted as saying. “In that sense, we really connected in the World Cup.”

He continued: “I never thought I would cry after a win, but we all did. The world can’t see those emotions of the players because you don’t have the footage of that, but it summed up the mood of that night.”

Moving on, the Dhoni-led Indian side will now look forward to defending their crown successfully Down Under.
