New Zealand confirmed ODI series against Pakistan

Just few days ago Pakistan cricket team was visiting New Zealand where they were scheduled to play a dual series against the Black Caps. The Tournament consisted of ODI and T20I series where they started the tournament of one day international competition. However, ODI series consisted of five matches where New Zealand won the first two matches and led the series by 2 – 0. They needed one more victory to secure the series and finally they got it. New Zealand confirmed ODI series against Pakistan by winning the 3rd match which was staged at Dunedin.

New Zealand confirmed ODI series against Pakistan

Pakistan is the most unpredictable cricket team in the World and it was much tough to say anything about them earlier. Pakistan was in form before the tournament. They also managed a victory earlier in the practice session. But in the main event, they were in poor performance.

On the other hand, team Black Caps has the regularity and at their home venue, they are much tremendous. And besides, their ODI ranking is far better than Pakistan. They are in 4th position considering ICC ranking where Pakistan is in 6th position so far.

However, the 3rd ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand was hosted in 13th January, 2018 and University Oval, Dunedin was the host venue of the match. Earlier in 13th January, 2018 which was a day competition, New Zealand won the toss and let Pakistan to bowl first. New Zealand played well in the match. Though they lost all wickets but played complete 50 overs. Their top scorer was Kane Williamson who scored 73 runs. New Zealand presented 257 runs target in front of Pakistan where Rumman Raees too three wickets for Pakistan in the match.

The Green Army on the other hand made an impossible thing and lost all wickets so early. They faced a batting disaster in the match and got packet in 74 runs. They played total 27.2 overs. Rumman Raees was the highest scorer for Pakistan who scored 16 runs so far. Trent Boult took five wickets and destroyed the Pak batting line up. He played the vital role. It was the joint 3rd lowest total of Pakistan and also the lowest total for any visiting team in New Zealand.

The players of Pakistan did not even stand in front of Black Caps bowlers. In 1 run Opener Azhar Ali was gone. Just 1 runs later Fakhar Zaman was gone as well. Top five batsmen did not touch two figure runs where skipper Sarfraz scored 14 runs, Faheem scored 10 runs and Amir scored 14 runs respectively for Pakistan.
