Centuries from Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor apiece helped New Zealand thrash Pakistan by 119 runs in the second and final One-Day International match at Napier on Tuesday.

Earlier, the hosts won the toss and decided to bat first, which eventually proved to be a witty decision. Tons from Williamson (112) and Taylor (102*) and half-century from opener Martin Guptill (76) steered New Zealand to 369-5 in 50 overs.

In response, Pakistan squandered a strong start from openers Mohammad Hafeez (86) and Ahmed Shehzad (55), as they eventually got shot out for 250 runs in the 44th over itself.

For New Zealand, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Nathan McCullum and Grant Elliott took 2 wickets each, while Trent Boult and Daniel Vettori also had a scalp.

Later, Williamson was adjudged the Man of the Match for his contribution with the willow.

The two teams now head on for the 2015 World Cup Down Under.
