India secured ODI series against South Africa

India cricket team is now in South Africa due to play a dual tournament against Proteas. They started their tour with Test series where the local team won the series against India. India lost the series by 2 – 1 games. So, they are desperate to win the next series against Proteas which is ODI competition. ODI series between South Africa and India consists of six matches where first three matches have already finished. India secured ODI series against South Africa by winning the 3rd ODI match. Earlier, they also managed victory twice times consecutively by winning first two matches. Now, they have no chance left to lose the ODI series. They just need to manage another victory and so, they could win the ODI series against Proteas.

India secured ODI series against South Africa

First ODI was staged in 1st February, 2018 where the 2nd ODI was staged in 4th of February. Now, the 3rd ODI between South Africa and India was taken place in 7th February, 2018 and this time Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town was the host arena. Ian Gould from England and Adrian Holdstock from SA were the field umpires in the match.

Earlier in 7th February, 2018 India lost the toss against Proteas and came to bat first. South Africa made the decision by observing first two matches. Heinrich Klaasen and Lungi Ngidi were the two South African players and made their ODI debut through the match. So, came to bat team India presented a handsome runs in front of the Proteas team. They played complete 50 overs and due to their long and strong batting line up, they made 303 runs in their innings by losing six wickets. Their current skipper Virat Kohli remained not out with 160 runs. He faced 159 balls so far. It was his 34th century in ODI and as Indian captain his 12th century. On the other hand, JP Duminy took highest two wickets for South Africa.

However, South Africa did not play better in the match. Or else we can say that in front of Indian bowlers, their players just surrendered in front of Indian bowlers. Proteas just able to play 40 overs and in the meantime, they lost their all wickets. They just scored 179 runs where JP Duminy was the top scorer for South Africa team. He scored 51 runs in 67 balls. Kuldeep Yadav took highest four wickets for Men in Blue.

It was the 3rd ODI between this two super power cricket teams where India is leading the tournament by 3 – 0 games. Now, to avoid the series defeat South Africa needs to win rest three matches consecutively.
