India scored 209 runs in 1st innings against Proteas

India is one of the superpower team in current cricket World and as usual they have the most strongest batting line up. So, in recent times they won most of the competition which used to stage at their home ground. But now, they are travelling South Africa where considering the schedule, they will have to play a Test, a ODI and a T20I series against Proteas. Their official competition against South Africa has already started with long format cricket. The match started in 5th January, 2018 and team India lost the toss and came to field first. Later, they came to bat for the first innings when South AFrica got all out by scoring 286 runs in first innings. India scored 209 runs in 1st innings against Proteas and the match is hosted at Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town.

The match between India and South Africa was staged in 5th January with the first Test and the match has taken place at Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town. Earlier the match, team Proteas won the toss and decided to bat first. But in front of the Indian bowlers, their batsmen failed to create more opportunities and so, their innings finished with 286 runs. Indian camp seemed very happy to see the scored and they came to bat for the first innings. But, they faced the same problems. Their batsmen could not stand in front of Proteas bowlers and they could not lead in the first innings. Their 1st innings finished with 209 runs.

However, 5th january, 2018 the first Test between India and South Africa started where India came to bat for the 1st innings after Proteas. They started their innings with Vijay and Dhawan. They hoped to make a better opening partnership but in 16 runs Vijay was gone. He scored 1 run. Just two runs after another opener Dhawan was gone who scored 16 runs so far. 3rd wicket was the most important for South AFrica who was skipper Virat Kohli. In 27 runs, Virat was gone with his 5 runs. Since the beginning, India started to lose wickets within regular gap. Just one player named Pandya made it to 93 runs but others failed to do their job properly. Kumar scored 25 runs which was the best among lower orders. So, in 73.4 overs team India got all out with their 209 runs in first innings. So, they are 77 runs behind than Proteas considering the first innings. Philander and Rabada took three wickets each where Steyn and Morkel took two wickets for South Africa.
