Finally team India managed another victory against South Africa. It was the 6th ODI between Men in Blues and South Africa. It was also the last One Day International match between them in the tour. Team India is currently visiting South Africa and considering the ICC schedule, they had to play a Test, a ODI and a T20I competition against the local team South Africa. After so long, team India left their home ground for a tournament. Now, in the 6th ODI match which was also the last ODI between them, India beat Proteas by 8 wickets.

India beat Proteas by 8 wickets

Team India basically used to play most of the time at their home venue but tis time, they are visiting South Africa. There they played a Test series already at the beginning and faced a series defeat by 2 – 1. So, they went desperate after facing a series defeat where team India is very powerful team now. So, they started to play a ODI series against Proteas and consisted of six matches ODI series, India won five times and South Africa just managed one victory.

Before the 6th match between them, team India already won the series with huge difference but considering the schedule, they faced Proteas in the last match. The 6th match was taken place in 16th February, 2018 and India won by 8 wickets SuperSport Park in Centurion was the host venue. In the day/ night competition earlier India won the toss and opted to bowl first. So, team South Africa came to bat for the first time and faced batting trouble. Their batsmen failed to settle down there and as a result in 46.5 overs, they lost all wickets. Khaya Zondo scored highest 54 runs for Proteas. He played 74 balls so far. So, team Proteas finished their innings scoring 204 runs only. Shardul Thakur took highest four wickets for India cricket team.

204 runs in ODI competition was so poor and if that was against India, then the match was already missed. So, India came to chase the score and as usual they dominated the Proteas bowlers. Indian captain Virat Kohli made a brilliant century out there. He scored 129 runs and still not out. He left the crease with victory. India took only 32.1 overs to chase the score by when they lost only two wickets. Lungi Ngidi took two wickets for South Africa. Virat Kohli was announced as the player of the match. Besides, it was his 35th century in his ODI career.
