England cricket team has recently finished their Australia tour where they visited Australia to play Ashes series. England was the defending champion of Ashes when they started the tournament but in the season of Ashes, they were defeated against Australia. Later, they were in another schedule and according to that they played an ODI series against the local team Australia. The ODI series consisted of five matches where in the fifth match of the tournament, England won by 12 runs at Perth. It was their 4th victory in the ODI series. By playing five matches against Australia, team England managed four victories where Australia won just once. By beating Australia at their home venue was a great achievement for English team.

Earlier, England won consecutive three ODI matches against Aussie team where in 4th ODI England faced a batting collapsed and so, they were defeated. In the 5th ODI, they turned around and claimed 4th victory. The ODI series was a revenge for England against Australia where they were defeated in the Ashes series.

The last match of the ODI series between Australia and England was placed in 28th January, 2018 and Perth Stadium, Perth was the hosting venue. Earlier in 28th January, 2018 Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first. The venue of Perth was became the 19th venue in Australia to host a ODI match. So, England came to bat for the first time and scored 259 runs in 47.4 overs. They lost all wickets in the meantime where Joe Root scored highest 62 runs in 68 balls for England. On the other hand the most destructive Aussie bowlers was Andrew Tye who took highest five wickets in the match. Later, came to chase the score, Australia failed to do so and lost their all wickets scoring 247 runs. They played total 48.2 overs. Their top scorer was Marcus Stoinis who scored 87 runs in 99 balls. On the other hand, for England the top wicket taker was Tom Curran. He took five wickets in exchange for 35 runs. Later, he received the player of the match award.

Top four English players got runs when England came to bat by losing the toss. Openers Roy and Bairstow made 71 runs partnership where Roy scored 49 runs and Bairstow scored 44 runs so far. Later, Hales scored 35 runs and Root scored 62 runs for the English team. Reat players failed to add much runs but finally their innings finished with 259 runs in 47.4 overs.
