England returned to the T20I series at Cardiff

Just a couple of days ago in the first T20I competition, England faced defeat against India where England was the host nation of the ongoing tournament. But in the 2nd match, England returned to the T20I series at Cardiff where they beat India. So, now the T20I series came to a level where India and England both won 1 match each. Now, the 3rd and final match is waiting for them.

England returned to the T20I series at Cardiff

Team India is one of the superpower cricket playing nation right now and since the beginning, they are very strong in batting side. Under the captain of Virat Kohli team India is very balanced right now. They are travelling England where they will play a tournament against the local team England. The tournament consists of T20I, ODI and Test competitions. However, they started the tournament with T20I competition. In 3rd July, 2018 the first match executed between them where India took the lead by winning first match.

Now, local team England returned to the game by winning 2nd match.It was staged in 6th July, 2018 and the host venue was Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

It was a day/night competition where England won the toss and decided to bowl first. Though the first match, they knew that first bowling team would get the advantage to win the match. Jake Ball made his T20I debut in the match for England. Besides, through the match, Indian wicketkeeper MS Dhoni played 500th international match in his career.

Sharma and Dhawan started the innings for India But in 7 runs Sharma was gone. In 22 runs Dhawan was gone as well. In 22 runs, India lost three wickets where Rahul scored 6 runs. Later, Kohli and Raina made a partnership where Raina scored 27 runs and captain Kohli scored highest 47 runs so far. Dhoni and Pandya remained not out with 32 and 12 runs respectively. In 20 overs team India scored 148 runs in exchange for five wickets. Four bowlers of England took one wicket each for the team.

England also failed to make good start. In 16 runs Roy was gone with 15 individual score. In 33 runs Buttler was gone with 14 runs. Root was no better as well. Hales took the lead and added highest 58 runs. He left the ground with victory. He got support from captain Morgan who scored 17 runs, Bairstow who scored 28 runs so far. By losing five wickets in 19.4 overs team England reached the destination.
