Kolkata Knight Riders which is a franchise team in Indian Premier League and the team is owned by Indian super star Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta. So, KKR became very popular since the beginning of the tournament in 2008. In every season of IPL, they took part here and like before in the ongoing season, they have come to compete here. It was their 11th episode as well as the 11th season of IPL. They have pretty much talented player which team is led by Dinesh Karthik. But in the ongoing season, they are not in their charming mood. They failed to show their real performance and most of their players used to fail to judge their name. But in their 8th match, they faced Royal Challengers Bangalore where Chris Lynn saved Kolkata Knight Riders at Bangalore.

The match was executed at the home venue of RCB which was M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, this is the 2nd head to head battle between this two teams. In their first battle, KKR won by four wickets and in their 2nd battle, KKR also won by six wickets. In both times, KKR won the matches by chasing it. First match was hosted at the home venue of KKR and the 2nd one was executed at the home venue of RCB.

The match between RCB and KKR was the 29th match of the tournament which was staged in 29th April, 2018. In the match, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and came to field first. So, Royal Challengers Bangalore started their innings with De Kock and McCullum. Openers added 67 runs which was almost good. De Kock scored 29 runs and McCullum scored 38 runs so far. Later, skipper Virat Kohli came and scored 68 runs so far. He was undefeated in the innings. Based on their three players score, RCB made 175 runs in exchange for four wickets in 20 overs. Russell took three wickets for KKR in the match.

Lynn and Narine started to chase for Kolkata Knight Riders. Lynn finished the game easily with undefeated 62 runs innings. His companions were Narine who scored 27 runs, Uthappa scored 36 runs and captain Karthik scored 23 runs so far. One player was retired hurt in the match. So, in 19.1 overs KKR finished the chase successfully. They lost four wickets in the match. So, Kolkata Knight Riders won by 6 wickets against RCB at the away ground.
