Live Updates – The third match between India and Bangladesh has been washed out due to consistant rain delay. India batting first were on 119/9 in 34 overs but rain stopped play for the 2nd time which lead to game being end without a result.

All Bangladeshi bowlers chipped in with good performance to restrict India on unplayable pitch conditions. Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowler taking 3 wickets while Taskin Ahmed and Al-Amin Hossain took 2 wickets each. Chetwashwar Pujara scored 27 runs which was highest in the inning while Binny was batting at 25 when the game was called off. India move to England now where they will be playing 5 match test series. Bangladesh-Team-squad-champions-trophy2013Match Preview
Indians will be hoping to get on with a winning start in the Asia Cup, after couple of very bad away series against the likes of South Africa and New Zealand where they lost both ODI and Test series. Dhoni is under real pressure now to keep his captaincy and this is a perfect oppertunity for Dhoni and other players to keep their placed in the team for the ICC T20 and later for the England tour.

Indian Players List 2014 Champions TrophyBangladesh on the other hand are playing good decent cricket and their recent series against Sri Lanka was a success, even though they lost all three ODI games but they did show the resistance and ability to get the matches to wire and on other days it could have been easily 2-1 win in the series for Bangladesh, but atleast they got much needed experience of playing in pressure situations.

Match Predictions:

Indians will go into the match as favourites, but Bangladesh at home can pose problems with out of Sorts indian side, I expect a tough game but Indians should pervail at the end of the day. Bangladesh have good enough team to make a match but they fail to finish the matches like we saw in ODI series against Sri Lanka
