However, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe were in tour of Bangladesh where BCB arranged a home tournament consisted of three team including Bangladesh. So, the Lions and Zimbabwe were two guest teams here. After playing six group stage matches, the two finalists were decided. Zimbabwe won only one match and so, they failed to play the final. On the other hand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka both won number of matches and so, they qualified for the final. In last group stage match which was between the Tigers and the Lions, Sri Lanka beat the Tigers which seemed a revenge where earlier, Bangladesh beat them once.

The sixth match between them was taken place in 25th January, 2018 which was hosted at the same venue named Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka. Earlier the match, the Tigers won the toss and decided to bat first. This time the luck was not with the Tigers. They faced a batting disaster and getting all out by scoring so mere runs. They scored only 82 runs in 24 overs where Mushfiqur Rahim scored highest 26 runs. Suranga Lakmal took three wickets highest in exchange for 21 runs. This was the 9th lowest total of team Bangladesh. So, chasing so mere score was no matter to the Lions and in 11.5 overs by losing none, Sri Lanka achieved the victory. Upul Tharanga scored highest 39 runs for the Lions.

Tamim Iqbal and Anamul started the innings for the Tigers but in five runs opening partnership was broken when Anamul was gone with 0 runs. Later, Shakib came up but just 10 runs later, he was gone scoring 8 runs. Just two players made it to the two figure runs where Mushfiq scored 26 runs and Sabbir scored 10 runs so far. Rest players did not find any better position. Basically Sri Lankan bowlers made things possible and tied the Tigers strongly.

In return, Gunathilaka and Tharanga started the innings for Sri Lanka and none of them were getting out but remained unbeaten till the last. Gunathilaka scored 35 runs and Tharanga scored 39 runs so far.
