Australia faced 2nd defeat against England

Australia and England are the two super power cricket team in the World which are also the two oldest team in the cricket as well. They recently finished a dual series between them where England visited Australia to play a Test series and a ODI series. Test series which was called Ashes, England faced a great defeat there against Aussie team. So, they were desperate to win ODI series against them. As local team Australia got home venue advantage where they knew there field nature well than England. But at the beginning of ODI series, England beat them in the 1st match and later, Australia faced 2nd defeat against England in the 2nd ODI as well.

Australia faced 2nd defeat against England

The 2nd ODI competition between Australia and England was staged in 19th January, 2018 and this time The Gabba, Brisbane was the host venue. In the match, team Australia brought couple of new faces where Alex Carey and Jhye Richardson made their ODI debut through the match. Besides, it was the 70th ODI match for Eoin Morgan as English captain which was a new record. Earlier, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Came to bat in front of English bowlers, they did not able to present big score in front of England. Their innings finished with 270 runs and in the meantime, they lost nine wickets so far. Aaron Finch scored made a century again in the match where in the first match, he also scored century. He scored 106 runs highest for Australia in 114 balls. Joe Root took two wickets for England team.

However, came to chase 270 runs, team England did not stumble since the beginning but their target was to achieve the victory and finally in 44.2 overs they did chase the score. They scored 274 runs in return by losing six wickets. Jonny Bairstow scored highest 60 runs in 56 balls for England. On the other side, Australia bowler Mitchell Starc took highest four wickets for his team. Joe Root was declared as the player of the match at the end. However, for Australian Aaron Finch, it was his 10th ODI century in his career.

In the match once again Australian batsmen were flop. Most of them did not able to score only but few. Warner scored 35 runs where Mitchell Marsh scored 36 runs so far. Just Finch scored well and got century in consecutive two matches. On the other side, most of the English players got runs where Hales scored 57 runs, Root scored 46 runs, Buttler scored 42 runs and Woakes scored 39 runs so far.
