Australia beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs

Australia kept their winning streak continue and this time team Australia beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs. Local team Zimbabwe did not get any chance in front of the super power team Australia in the match. It was the 2nd match of both teams in tri nation series. The tri nation series was executed in Zimbabwe where Zimbabwe Cricket invited two strong teams to play at their home venue. Australia and Pakistan visited Zimbabwe due to the purpose. Team Pakistan is the most powerful in T20 competition but also they faced defeat against Australia earlier. So, as the first team, Australia won two matches by playing two.

Australia beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs

The match between Australia and Zimbabwe was the 3rd match of the tournament which took place in 3rd July, 2018 and at the same venue of Harare the match executed. Team Australia played under the captaincy of Australia in T20I cricket where at the home venue, team Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, Australia came to bat at the beginning. They made a big total there where Aaron Finch scored 172 runs. This is the record of highest individual in T20I cricket till now.

Finch and Short came to bat at the beginning for Australia. Jointly they scored 223 runs which is the highest partnership in T20I cricket. They played 19.2 overs jointly when Short was gone with 46 runs where Finch scored 172 runs in 76 balls. Later, in 19.4 overs captain Finch was gone as well. He scored 172 runs where he made sixteen 4’s and ten 6’s so far. At the end of 20 overs team Australia scored 229 runs in exchange for two wickets only. Bowlers of Zimbabwe were so expensive where Muzarabani took the two wickets for Zimbabwe.

Chasing 229 runs against Australia was so tough for the team like Zimbabwe. They tried to make a good start where Chibhabha and Mire opened the innings. In 3.3 overs they scored 42 runs but then Chibhabha was gone. Later, Mire scored highest 28 runs for the team. Rest players added few more runs which was not enough as well. Captain Masakadza scored 12 runs, Musakanda scored 10 runs, Moor scored 19 runs and Burl scored 10 runs so far. They played full 20 overs and scored 129 runs so far. They lost nine wickets and faced defeat by 100 runs against Australia. Tyre took three wickets where Agar took two wickets for Australia.
