Ambati Rayudu made unbeaten century against SRH

Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the two top placeholder teams in Indian Premier League or IPL this season. So, the match between them seems always contesting. In last 13th May, 2018 this two giant teams faced against each other in group stage of IPL for 2nd times. This time Chennai Super Kings was the hosting team. Their regular player Ambati Rayudu made unbeaten century against SRH in that match. So, CSK easily found a victory against their most top opponent Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings both played total twelve group stage matches in the season of Indian Premier League 2018. Among them, Sunrisers Hyderabad won highest nine times and Chennai Super Kings won eight times so far. Through the victory, Chennai Super Kings secured their place in playoff round where Sunrisers Hyderabad already secured their position there as the first team. XSK got the chance in the season as the 2nd team. Still there are room for two more teams which are not declared yet.

Though, Sunrisers Hyderabad got their playoff confirmation earlier and so, the match against Chennai Super Kings was not much important for them. But it does not mean that they took the match so lightly. They fought well if we look to the match details.

Earlier this two teams faced once in the season which executed at the home venue of SRH. In the match, SRH faced defeat against CSK for the first time. Now, in the ongoing season they faced total two defeats against the same opponent CSK.

The match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad was the 46th match in the tournament which took place at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in 13th May.

In the match local team Chennai Super Kings got the toss and let SRH to bat first. As a guest team it was hard for Sunrisers Hyderabad to start bat at the beginning but they were forced. Dhawan and Hales failed to make a good start. Later, with Williamson, Dhawan made a partnership that added more than 100 runs to the scoreboard. Dhawan scored 79 runs where Williamson scored 51 runs so far. Another player Hooda scored 21 runs so far. After 20 overs, the score of SRH was 179 runs total in exchange for only four wickets. It was almost a handsome score to chase.

But, the openers of CSK, Watson and Rayudu made a big partnership of 134 runs. Watson got run out with 57 runs and Rayudu left the crease with victory. He scored 100 runs just. Dhoni was his partner till the last.
