Afghanistan secured T20I series

Finally the Tigers have tested another defeat and along with them Afghanistan secured T20I series against Bangladesh. Team Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in the schedule of T20I series but most surprisingly the tournament is not hosted at Bangladesh of Afghanistan but in the 3rd venue, the whole series are hosted. The hosting ground is located in India and so, both teams visited there now. The tournament officially started in 3rd June but earlier the Tigers played a warm up match against Afghanistan A team. Including the warm up match, the Tigers faced defeated all three matches and still one match in hand but team Afghan won the series already.

Afghanistan secured T20I series

The first match staged in 3rd June, 2018 and 2nd match executed in 5th June, 2018. In the 2nd match which was staged at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun. In the same ground all matches between them were executed. Earlier in 5th June, 2018 Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. In the first match, the Tigers took bowl by winning the toss. They faced defeat in the match with huge difference. So, in the 2nd match, they decided to bat instead of bowl.

Tamim and Liton started the innings for Bangladesh. Liton played well in the first match but he has no consistency. He scored 1 run in the 2nd match. Tamim scored 43 runs so far. Sabbir Rahman scored 13 runs where Mushfiqur Rahim scored 22 runs for the team. Rest players failed to do their jobs. Team Bangladesh has very balanced squad but they are not suitable for T20 competition it seems. Mahmudullah scored 14 runs and Shakib scored 3 runs only. Among rest players, Abu Haider scored 21 runs. Based on their score team bangladesh scored 134 runs in exchange for eight wickets in selected 20 overs.

Team Bangladesh failed to understand the ball of Rashid Khan in the match also. He took four wickets and destroyed the Tigers innings. Nabi took another two wickets for Afghan team.

Mohammad Shahzad and Usman Ghani started to chase for Afghan team. In 38 runs opening partnership was broken. Shahzad scored 24 runs and Ghani scored 21 runs so far. Samiullah Shenwari and captain Asghan started to make another partnership but captain failed to make longer innings but scored 4 runs only. But at the end of the crease Samiullah Shenwari scored highest 49 runs so far. Besides, Nabi and Shafiqullah led the team to victory where Nabi remained not out with 31 runs so far. In 18.5 overs team Afghanostan reached the destination by losing 4 wickets only.
