Virat Kohli’s wax statue at the Madame Tussauds was damaged by fans, just a day after being unveiled at the New Delhi museum.

The statue’s ear was impaired by photograph-seeking fans, reports NDTV, but the repair work is now done and the statue is back in its place.

“Kohli’s statue ear was damaged due to some reason,” an official was quoted as saying.

“We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain’s statue.”

The museum, which opened in December 2017, also has the scultures of Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar and footballers Lionel Messi and David Beckham.

Besides, the other statues comprise of some Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, and Tom Cruise.

Renowned singers Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and the late Michael Jackson also ‘grace their presence’.
