wladimir klitschko vs bryant jennings

Fans of heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko already knew that he would be fighting on April 25th. News has now been released to confirm that Wladimir Klitschko vs Bryant Jennings is official. Jennings is a tall and slender boxer, with relatively low knockout power and an undefeated 19-0 record. Klitschko is the Transnational Boxing Rankings BoardlinealWBA (Super),IBFWBOIBO and The Ring world champion.

As is quite common with the giant Ukrainian, Jennings really doesn’t hold many advantages skill-wise. He does however have a longer reach than the champion, by three inches. This probably won’t be much of a deterrent  for “Dr Steelhammer”, as he is widely regarded as the best heavyweight of the last 10 years.

Last seen obliterating Kubrat Pulev in 2014, Klitschko is truly a notch above the rest. Perhaps Deontay Wilder will take the gamble after his dominant win over Bermane Stiverne? Jennings fought to a sketchy split decision win over Mike Perez last June in New York, meaning he probably has little to offer the 63-3 (53 KOs) Klitschko in the way of offense.

A fight with Shannon Briggs would probably not present the champion with much competition either. That being said, it has a rather hilarious back story to promote it with. “The Cannon” has been trolling Klitschko unmercifully, and with quite side-splitting intensity.

Re-live Briggs’ best trolls below, and look forward to (?) Wladimir Klitschko vs Bryant Jennings on April 25th
