British star Amir Khan expressed his desire to have a potential fight with fellow former amateur Vijender Singh.

Khan (31-3), who recently moved up the weight category to face middleweight giant Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, said that he’s keen on squaring off against Singh (4-0) in the latter’s hometown Delhi, India.

Interestingly, the 30-year-old Singh – a former Olympic and World Championship medalist – is scheduled for a homecoming in June this year.

“Vijender Singh is the talent that India has in professional boxing and I would want to fight him in India soon,” Khan was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Singh has had a dream start to his career as a pro. Having won all of his four bouts via stoppages and consider as richest boxer of all time, the Indian star is scheduled to take on experienced Frenchman Matiouze Royer at the Copper Box Arena on April 30.
