British star Amir Khan expressed his desire to have a potential fight with fellow former amateur Vijender Singh.

Khan (31-3), who recently moved up the weight category to face middleweight giant Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, said that he’s keen on squaring off against Singh (4-0) in the latter’s hometown Delhi, India.

Interestingly, the 30-year-old Singh – a former Olympic and World Championship medalist – is scheduled for a homecoming in June this year.

“Vijender Singh is the talent that India has in professional boxing and I would want to fight him in India soon,” Khan was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Singh has had a dream start to his career as a pro. Having won all of his four bouts via stoppages, the Indian star is scheduled to take on experienced Frenchman Matiouze Royer at the Copper Box Arena on April 30.
