Anthony Joshua is not the one to mince his words.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the undefeated heavyweight world champion was asked to predict the outcome of the upcoming blockbuster clash between Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker.

And, the British superstar didn’t shy away from making a bold prediction.

“Very, very good fight. If you ask me who I’m backing, I’m going with Dillian and I’m going by knockout as well,” the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO champion said.

The reason? “Dillian ain’t got nothing to lose. He’s been screaming out world champions, saying ‘I want to fight here, I want to fight there’ and I feel he wants to prove himself.”

Interestingly, Whyte and Parker have only lose once in their career – both heavyweights going down to Joshua.

While Whyte was knocked out by Joshua in the seventh round of their thrilling exchange for the British title back in December 2015, the latter defended his world titles with a unanimous decision win over New Zealand’s Parker in March this year.

Explaining why he didn’t go for the kill against Parker – the only time he was taken to the distance – Joshua said: “In my fight he was on the back foot and I boxed clever because I’m trying to set up a big fight with [Deontay] Wilder [WBC champion].

“I feel like Dillian’s got nothing to lose, everything to gain. So, he’s going to go in there… guns blazing and try to knock out Parker ASAP to secure a win and get that world title shot.”

Asked who’s got more power, the 2012 Olympic champion said: “Probably Dillian as he hurt me in the second round. Parker didn’t really land too many shots.”

Joshua’s next title defense is scheduled against Russia’s Alexander Povetkin come September 22.
