‘Please don’t fight Anthony Joshua’ Tyson Fury tells Deontay Wilder

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Tyson Fury epitomises the saying, if his latest comments are anything to go by.

The ‘Gypsy King’, who is expected to make a comeback to the ring in 2018, continues to call out IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Interestingly, Joshua is also being called out by WBC champion Deontay Wilder, who recently destroyed Bermane Stiverne in first round to retain his WBC belt.

But, Fury insists that if Wilder fights Joshua and beats him, it will deprive the Brit of a huge payday.

“Please don’t fight AJ, you’re going to take my $50million just like you done Stiverne. I don’t want no second best,” Fury told TheBoxingVoice.

“Listen if you get the deal done, you do it, you take him out in style. And then you fight The Gypsy King in the fight of all fights, the Achilles and Hector fight, that’s what it is,” he added.

Wilder responded, saying: “Hey we both want him. I want him – the world wants it – I’m going to take him out and then I’m going to throw him to you in the UK and then you can finish him off.”

A fight between Joshua and either Wilder or Fury is likely to happen late next year, with the former in talks to unify the WBO holder Joseph Parker.
