If Shannon ‘Cannon’ Briggs’ Instagram account is to be believed, he will trade punches with Tyson ‘Gypsy King’ Fury in 2018.

“It’s confirmed!!!! This is a fight that the people would love to see …… but Fluff The No Magic Dragon fat ass outta shape,” Briggs wrote to his 245,000 followers.

The 45-year-old Briggs, who last fought in May 2016, was banned in July this year for failing a drug test. And, the former two-time world champion is keen on spending some time in the ring before taking on Fury.

“In between time I’ll be fighting staying busy fighting once a month #ireland #scotland #london knocking out pies meeting great people around the world,” he added.

Like Briggs, Fury also has been away from the business for quite some time, having last fought (and stunned) Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015. He was, however, stripped off his boxing license after confessing using cocaine and going through depression.

Fury, 28, later announced his retirement but vowed to return earlier this year. However, his plans took a beating after the National Anti-Doping Panel hearing was called off in May.

There has been no official confirmation on the Fury-Briggs fight though.
