Winless since February, Eugenie Bouchard tastes another defeat on return to ITF circuit

Eugenie Bouchard last won a competitive match back in February.
The alarming stat – which coincides with 12 consecutive defeats in the same period – perhaps propelled her decision to get back to the ITF circuit as she took part in the $60 event in Templeton, California, this week.
But, alas, the 2014 Wimbledon runner-up had her winless streak extended, losing 4-6 6-4 4-6 to world No. 272 Gabriela Talaba of Romania in the first round encounter that lasted two hours and 20 minutes on Wednesday.
Bouchard, who last won a match in Dubai Duty Free Championships opener, is now 6-17 this year.
And things are only expected to get worse as the former No. 4 is to defend as many as 110 ranking points, having reached the semi-finals of WTA event in Luxembourg last year.
