VIDEO: Novak Djokovic surprises himself with stunning dive during Denis Shapovalov defeat

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic’s Wimbledon preparations suffered a minor jolt as he was handed a 6-7 4-6 defeat at the hands of Canadian star Denis Shapovalov at The Boodles, a five-day exhibition tournament, being held in Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire.
Despite, the Serbian, who had registered a 6-2 6-4 conquest of Chilean Christian Garin in his first match, showed off his athleticism as he put on a brilliant diving effort to win a point in stunning fashion.
It happened during the second game of the second set, when a fiery Shapovalov forehand looked destined to beat Djokovic’s stretch at the net. Wasn’t to be though as the latter made a spectacular dive to win the point.
While Shapovalov wore a wry smile on his face, Djokovic himself was visibly surprised as he enacted the dive while the crowd cheered on.
Champion stuff, isn’t it?
