Rising tennis star Marta Kostyuk advanced to the second round of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart following a 6-4 6-1 win over Germany’s Antonia Lottner on Tuesday.

During the courtside interview, she made a shocking confession.

“When I was growing up I didn’t really have idols. I loved to watch Novak Djokovic,” the 15-year-old Ukrainian said.

“Until I was nine, I thought he was going to be my husband. He wasn’t really like who I was looking for, because we are not the same with the styles,” she added of Djokovic, a father of two.

Hope his wife Jelena doesn’t mind that!

Meanwhile, Kostyuk, who won the junior US Open title last year, awaits a tough opponent ahead in either five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova or world No. 7 Caroline Garcia for a place in the quarter-finals.
