Rafael Nadal lashes out at reporters as he denies calling Nick Kyrgios ‘son of bi***’

Rafael Nadal dismissed rumours he called Nick Kyrgios ‘son of bi***’ ahead of their grudge showdown at Wimbledon.
After Nadal, an 18-time Grand Slam champion, rode on his experience to pull off a 6-3 3-6 7-6 7-6 win over Kyrgios in the second round on Thursday, the Spaniard was asked if he really did let out a cuss word.
He, however, was quick to rubbish the talks. “This is not true. Pendejo is an Argentine expression and son of a bitch never came out of my mouth,” Nadal said in the post-match press conference, as quoted by bolamarela.pt.
“Watch the videos before they ask me these things, okay? I have no problem with Kyrgios. He simply wanted to play a good match against him, which is not always easy. That’s what motivated me.”
Nadal will go on to face Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who registered a 7-6 6-3 6-3 conquest of Lithuania’s Ricardas Berankis.
Nadal leads the H2H against Tsonga, 8-4.
