Maria Sharapova kept herself busy during the off-season. From vacationing in Hawaii to visiting Puerto Rico for a cause to attending a couple of other events – the Russian tennis star was in the news, even when she wasn’t hitting a few balls.

However, as the year-end nears, Sharapova is back on court. She took to her official Instagram account to share a picture of herself with her 2.9 million followers, in which she can be seen practicing backhand on a hard court.

The 30-year-old, who made her competitive return earlier this year after serving a doping ban, last played at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow last month. She is scheduled to compete at the Shenzhen Open in China in the first week of January.
