Nike Recalls ‘Revealing’ Wimbledon Outfits After Female Players Complain
Nike has been forced to make last-minute changes in its Wimbledon outfits for female tennis players after the players deemed it too “revealing” to play comfortably.
The concerns arose after rising tennis stars Katie Boulter and Taylor Townsend were bothered by the outfit flying over the waistline during the Wimbledon qualifying event, reports The Drum.
The issue was evident from the fact that Czech tennis player Lucie Hradecka sported a white leggings to cope up with the diminutive top, which was actually believed to be the complete attire for Wimbedon.
Consequently, Nike sent across a mail to its players asking them to drop the outfits to Nike Wimbledon House for eleventh-hour modifications, the report adds.
The main draw matches of the Championships are scheduled to get underway from June 27.
