A dominant Novak Djokovic stormed into the finals of the ATP Monte Carlo Masters after taking out tournament favorite Rafael Nadal in the last-four stage on Saturday.
The top-seeded Serb needed just one hour and 37 minutes to pull off a surprising 6-3 6-3 win over No. 3 seed Rafael Nadal of Spain in the semifinal.
This triumph also helped Djokovic to inch closer in the head-to-head record by 20-23 against Nadal.
Up next, the in-form Serb is scheduled to lock horns with 6th seed Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic, who ended the dream run of Frenchman Gael Monfils by clinching a 6-1 6-4 victory in the other semifinal match up.
Ahead of the Sunday’s clash, Djokovic lead 18-2 against Berdych in the head-to-head record.
