Tennis stars like Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic and Eugenie Bouchard are well known for their good looks. But, there’s apparently a new member who’s knocking on the group’s door.
Germany’s Carina Witthoeft has drawn comparison with Sharapova in terms of her apperance.
Like Sharapova, the 23-year-old Witthoeft is a blonde, pretty tall and is, of course, good at tennis.
And, she knows it. “I know that I look like Sharapova. But honestly, there are worse comparisons, right?” she told Blick.ch.
There’s one more resemblance between the German and Sharapova: they both are quite active on Instagram and have decent number of followers too.
“I also have a private life. I want to show that I am also interested in things other than tennis. After all, I have another life too,” she said.
Meanwhile, Witthoeft, who is currently ranked No. 57 in the WTA rankings, lost in the first round of this week’s Lugano International, falling 6-1 4-6 3-6 to Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium.
