Damir Dzumhur credits model girlfriend Dejana Zivkovic following St. Petersburg triumph
Bosnian tennis star Damir Dzumhur won his maiden ATP title by clinching the St. Petersburg Open last weekend.
In the process, he became the first tennis player from his country to win a title at the top level that also saw him jump to a career-best ranking of No. 40 in the world.
Not just his tennis skills, but Dzumhur also credits his girlfriend, model Dejana Zivkovic for inspiring him.
Dzumhur, 25, and Zivkovic, 24, have been together for four months and are quite open about their relationship on social media.
“We are trying to enjoy every moment that we spend together, wherever we are,” Dzumhur was quoted as saying by The Sun.
“We try to get more time and be closer to each other. Whenever she can, she travels with me and watches my games, which I appreciate very much.
“She enchanted me with her beauty and her style. She is unique and honest in everything.”
Dzumhur is currently in China for the Wuhan Open, where he beat Australian John Millman 6-4 7-5 in the first round.
