Floyd Mayweather is fighting Maidana tonight in MGM Grand Las Vegas and just like last few fights of Mayweather the receptions is great both in terms of ticket sale and PPV buys and Mayweather will be taking home a huge purse as usual with $32 million guaranteed plus it might reach $40 million in total with PPV sales share.

Having said that, his opponent for the main event Marcos Maidana is only getting around $1.5 million which seems a tad lower than what people would have expected. Had Khan fought Mayweather he would have got around $10 million which goes to show that after Pacquioa fight, fighting Khan is very lucarative for Mayweather.
