Jose Mourinho side started their premier league campaign against Burnley on monday night football where they went on to win the game by 3-1 and made it to top of the table.

Chelsea spent big in this summers with getting Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Flippe Luis to boost their squad and turn themselves into real title contendars. Their first test of the season was away from home against newly promoted Burnley side who stunned chelsea in the 14th minute when Scott Arfield scored to make it 1-0 for the home side.

But it did not took long for chelsea to get back on level terms, new signing Diego Costa scoring his first goal for Chelsea on premier league debut and world cup winner Andre Schuerrle scored in 21st minute to make it 2-1 for chelsea and complete a turnaround. Chelsea warrior like defender/full back Ivanovic scored in 34th minute to put chelsea further away in the lead.

The game was 3-1 in Chelsea favour and they looked quite strong in the opening 45 minutes and in the second half they kept the ball pretty well but setup themselves up to hit Burnley on counter attacks which worked as a treat. Watch the full match highlights and goals videos here.
