Former world No. 1 Marcelo Rios is no stranger to controversy. And despite having retired back in 2004, he is at it again.

Rios has criticized 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer, saying he behaves like a woman on court, so much so that he doesn’t even spit.

Ain’t that a good habit but?

“Tennis has become very boring,” the 42-year-old told La Tercera. “If it’s Federer with [Rafael] Nadal, I’m motivated and I see it.

“I love Federer, I think he’s the best in history. He is a gentleman. It’s a hole in the crack, but I find off the court your life must be different.

“On the court, he’s like a woman, he does not make any mistakes, doesn’t even spit.”

For those unaware, he was also in the news for insulting a group of journalists during a Davis Cup practice session earlier this year.
