Pakistan Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez a Tax Defaulter of Rs 4 Million: Reports
In what is turning out to be a new controversy in Pakistan cricket, all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is reportedly an Income Tax defaulter for not fulfilling his outstanding dues of Rupees 4 million to the department.
According to a report by Business Recorder, the official authorities have let the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad know about the episode, and that the board has corroborated to cooperate regarding the issue.
The report further added that in case that Hafeez fails to clear his dues, the PCB will ensure that it scratches certain amount from his match fees from the coming matches.
The 34-year-old Hafeez, however, insisted that he didn’t take a delivery of any notice from the Income Tax department, and claimed the reports to be bogus.
