Royal Challengers bangalore will go into the 2014 IPL auction having retained three of their main players in AD De Villiers, Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle. That took away their budget of Rs 29.5 Crores and the remaining budget to spend in IPL auction window is just Rs 30.5 crore.
Royal Challengers bangalore has appointed daniel vettori as the new head coach of the team while many established foreign players has been let go before the auction. Now they have to be street smart to build their squad around three of their worlds best T20 batsman in Gayle, Kohli and De Villiers.
Now they have just Rs 30.5 crores left in the budget having retained three players which also leaves them with only 1 right to match card. Though what they will be looking to get in auction will be some quality bowlers and maybe buy back Murlitharan in the auction. Couple of fast bowlers and a few mix of local promising Indian players and all rounders will make the squad more balanced.
