Earlier, West Indies captain Darren Sammy won the toss and opted to field first, which previously proved to be the wrong decision as the hosts amassed 231-7 in restricted 20 overs’ quota, thanks to a fluent ton from skipper Faf du Plessis (119).

WI: 236/6 (19.2)

In response, Chris Gayle (90) and Marlon Samuels (60) ripped through the South African bowling line-up by combining 152 runs for the 2^nd wicket as the visitors chased down the target with 4 wickets and 4 balls to spare.

By the virtue of this triumph, West Indies have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, and the two teams now meet in the final encounter at Durban on Wednesday.
