Vijender Singh’s Opponent for May 13 Bout Announced
Indian boxing sensation Vijender Singh’s (5-0) opponent for the May 13 fight, to be held in Bolton, has been announced. The unbeaten star will take on Poland’s Andrzej Soldra (12-3-1) in the super-middleweight category.
Vijender, who continued his KO streak after battering French veteran Matiouze Royer in his previous match last week, will look to extend his dream start as a professional when he trades punches with an experienced boxer in Soldra.
Soldra, just like the Olympic medalist Vijender, was an amateur, before he switched to the professional arena back in 2011. The Polish fighter has 12 victories under his belt with an experience of 81 rounds against 14 of Vijender.
Having knocked all his opponents out without any hiccups, the 30-year-old Vijender will look to take care of his unbeaten streak as he’s scheduled for a homecoming in July, where he will be fighting for the WBO Asia belt title.
