Crazed boxer knocks out referee after an alleged early stoppage…..

Croatian boxer Vido Loncar was involved in some terrible controversy at the European championships this week. After what could be judged as an early stoppage in his bout, Loncar seemed to accept the fact that he had lost by stoppage. Going back to his corner, the Croat had his gloves taken off and paced the ring.

As the referee called Loncar across to announce the winner, the Croatian appeared to absolutely lose his mind. He planted a flush punch on the chin of the unsuspecting official, knocking the ref clean off his feet. As his boxing opponent fled the ring, Loncar continued to assault the referee on the ground.

Eventually dragged out by security, Loncar was removed from the stadium in front of shocked and confused spectators. The Croatian has since been served with a lifetime ban from boxing, no word yet as to whether the referee involved will press criminal charges.
