Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis to come out of retirement for one-off fight
They traded punches in what was a controversial fight back in 2003.
And Vitali Klitschko (46) and Lennox Lewis (52) are all set to renew their rivalry as the yesteryear’s heavyweight world champions will come out of retirement for an exhibition fight against each other.
According to 112.international, the fight will be held during the 56th WBC Congress in Kyiv, Ukraine, scheduled to be held from September 30 to October 5.
Klitschko and Lewis had locked horns for the IBO and WBC belts on June 21, 2003. The latter was adjudged the winner after the former was deemed unfit to continue due to a cut at the end of the sixth round.
The report adds Klitschko was unhappy with the decision as he demanded a rematch. And although Lewis never ruled out a second match, he called a time on his career soon after
