‘Chris Eubank Jr thinks he is Mayweather, but he is not’

Chris Eubank Jr may be the favourite heading into his upcoming bout, but his opponent Avni Yildirim’s coach says he doesn’t fear the title holder.
Eubank Jr’s (25-1, 19 KOs) IBO World Super Middleweight belt will be on the line against and Yildirim (16-0, 10 KOs) when the two trade punches in a Boxing Super Series contest in Halle, Germany, on October 7.
“I do not fear Eubank Jr. He has nothing to stop Avni. Eubank is a kid, a spoiled kid who thinks he is a brave tough guy, he is not,” Yildirim’s coach Ahmet Oner was quoted as saying by The Voice.
Oner, 45, a former boxer himself, went on to call Eubank Jr the “cheap version” of retired superstar Floyd Mayweather.
“His father (Eubank Sr) was an actor and a fighter with good power punches. Eubank Jr has good movement, but he has no power.
“Eubank Jr is a cheap version of Floyd Mayweather. He thinks he is Mayweather, but he is not.”
