VIDEO: Tennis player Mario Vilella Martinez’s incredible racket smash goes viral

Things can get frustrating at times during a thrilling contest. But, what a young tennis player did after being edged out in a nail-biter, is extremely hard to the eyes.
Spain’s Mario Vilella Martinez (WR: 262) was up against Tomislav Brkic (WR: 305) of Bosnia and Herzegovinia at the ATP Challenger in Shymkent, Uzbekistan.
After splitting the first two sets, the duo went neck-to-neck in the third. Serving at 5-6, however, Marti failed to force a tie-breaker as Brkic went on to prevail 1-6 6-2 7-5 after battling out in the middle for two hours and four minutes.
What the Spaniard did next quickly went viral on the internet. The 23-year-old banged his racket multiple times with all his might before turning backwards to ruthlessly dump it away.
No wonder, his opponent wore a perplexed look while coming on to the net for the customary handshake.
As for Brkic, he is scheduled to lock horns with 11th seed Federico Coria of Argentina in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
